I’D LIKE TO SHARE MY EXPERIENCES WITH YOU!
I am interested in interviewing for this position with DOLBY.
I confident I have the skills to fulfill your UX Design needs.
As a lifelong enthusiast of User Experience Design with a huge passion for Audio/Visual projects, I am excited to have an opportunity to become a part of the Dolby team!
I am certain my experiences working with several blue chip, agile development companies will directly translate to being a successful and integral part of your team. My abilities to navigate through these large corporate environments and track the ever changing agile developments, and come out of it aligned with comprehensive designs is my strong suit. I will analyse data and disseminate both short and long term strategies to provide a solution. This is why I am a great asset to support any application and/or product at whatever stage the development is in.
I would love the opportunity to demonstrate my work, both in Product design (from the marketing side and the application development side) and my perhaps dive deeper into some of my audio/visual works.
I have owned and operated a full stack design company for 20 years.
I currently have a full career in UX application development and product design - with a specialization of building and supporting Design Systems.
For 10 years, along with my UX career, I have formed LiveDepth Media - whereby a consortium of Videographers with a passion for music - shoot and edit video for the Seattle music industry.
I was a Sr. UX designer at Rhapsody during the time of it’s merger and rebranding of the company and it’s software portfolio. I was instrumental to the launch of our design system standards and the launching of 1.0, 2.0 & 3.0 versions of the flagship application as well as supporting mini applications.
I also believe my work @ Prime Video is something I bring to the table. I set up the framework for the platform software, and worked directly with our client, the Amazon employees who worked in the pod right next to ours! This enabled me to set up our usability testing and get instant and direct feedback while developing our agile software. Another key take-away from this team was our uber attention to the notion of attempting to reach “zero touch” software… meaning leveraging AI to require as minimal user input as possible.
Sincerely,
Erik Mickelsen
